Engineering Heritage in Sydney

The Engineering Heritage Committee offers a number of guided walks around Sydney and ferry tours, to groups of people interested in Sydney's heritage, and especially its engineering and industrial history.

The walks and tours offered are : -

  • Sydney's Birthplace Walk   ( Sydney Cove, The Rocks & Observatory Hill )

  • Sydney Harbour Bridge Walk   ( includes Harbour Bridge Museum at additional cost to participants )

  • Sandstone Sydney & Historic Macquarie St. Walk ( includes Bridge Street & GPO - General Post Office )

  • Whitton Walk ( Central Station to Darling Harbour)

  • Industrial Heritage Harbour Tour by Public Ferry

  • Sydney Harbour West Ferry Cruise (special booking)

  • Sydney Harbour East Ferry Cruise   (special booking)

Cost of the guided walking tours is $80-00 for groups up to 9 people, and $9-00 per head for larger parties up to a maximum of 18 people (plus any public transport fares if required).

Cost of the Harbour Ferry Tours is dependent upon ferry bookings and the number of people attending.

Bookings for walks require groups of  6 to 18 people.
