Pyrmont Wharf - circa 1950s (courtesy of Sydney Morning Herald) The aim of this page is to supply information on various industrial heritage topics such as:
It is important to conserve the industrial history of our nation; to pass on to future generations what industrial endeavours made our society and what our forefathers worked at to create the world we live in today. Many of the topics on this page cover industrial sites that no longer exist but were major centres of manufacturing of some kind in their day and in many cases employed many people in order to function. It is also important to conserve the trades, techniques and skills that these people used in our past industrial businesses in order to communicate what effort it took to create the products of their endeavours as well as to preserve some of those products for the future.
