This year is the 75th anniversary of the opening of Sydney's
iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, one of the longest steel arches in the world. Opened on
March 19th 1932, the bridges construction showed to the world what could be achieved
industrially in a growing nation, still recovering from the depression.
Today the
Sydney Harbour Bridge is still one of the great engineered structures of the world.
